Functional Capacity Assessments in Brisbane
Mobile, NDIS-focused assessment in your home and community, with Telehealth available for preparation and follow-up.

What to expect
Assessment shaped around the person
Assessment grounded in your real environment
An FCA examines how disability affects everyday activities across self-care, mobility, communication, relationships, household tasks and community participation. Visiting the environments where daily life happens can reveal barriers that are difficult to explain in a clinic.

Evidence decision-makers can follow
The report connects assessment findings to functional impacts, risks, goals and practical recommendations. Where Home and Living, assistive technology or ongoing support is relevant, the reasoning is set out clearly rather than relying on broad statements.

Visits and availability
Brisbane is part of our South East Queensland mobile service area, rather than a separate clinic. Include your suburb when enquiring so we can confirm availability and travel before you commit to an appointment.
What to tell us
For a visit at home, school or another community setting, tell us which activities need attention and who needs to agree to access. Include building access or parking arrangements and any report deadline when completing the full referral.
What can happen online
A support coordinator or family member can join suitable interviews or planning discussions by Telehealth with consent. An equipment trial or detailed home assessment may still need a face-to-face component.
Choose the assessment question, not just the report name
An FCA covers everyday function; SIL/support needs looks more closely at assistance across home routines and overnight; SDA focuses on specialist accommodation needs. Equipment trials and home modifications may need a different assessment scope. A report provides evidence, not a guarantee of NDIS funding.

These are total assessment-and-report package hours, not appointment-only time. We confirm scope, funding and any travel arrangements before starting. FCA reports are returned within 10 business days of the final appointment and receipt of the required information. We respond to enquiries and referrals within two business days; that is not a promise of an appointment within two days.
